Charles Di Leva Joins Sustainability Frameworks, LLP
APRIL 14, 2022 — Sustainability Frameworks celebrates five years of successful operations by announcing the addition of partner Charles Di Leva. Di Leva recently left the World Bank where he served as Chief Officer, Environmental and Social Standards, and previously as Chief Counsel for Environmental and International Law. He was a principal architect of the Bank’s new Environmental and Social Framework and the former safeguards policies. Di Leva also held positions with UNEP, IUCN, the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management, and in private environmental law practice. Di Leva also worked at the U.S. Department of Justice and is a Fellow of the American College of Environmental Lawyers.
Sustainability Frameworks helps governments, companies, and international financial institutions (IFIs) manage environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risks. The addition of Charles — a leading expert on ESG risk management — adds greatly to our team’s strength and capacity.
Di Leva has been a central player on the domestic and international fronts of environmental law and policy for many years, tracking back to his early days working at the Justice Department’s Environment Division. The Sustainability Frameworks partnership is stronger with Di Leva’s experience and work in the ESG space — in both the public and private sectors.
ESG is among the most important developments in environmental policy since the beginning of the modern environmental movement, and Sustainability Frameworks team helps navigate this emerging landscape, to manage financial, social, and biodiversity risks while environmental and climate priorities act as an engine for positive change.
